What are roller blinds? Basically, they can be defined as window blinds made from a stiffened fabric attached to a timber or aluminium roller. Roller blinds can be spring-loaded, adjusted with a chain mechanism or motorised. The basic definition of roller blinds does not do them justice, though.
There are so many styles to choose from, one roller blind will bear no resemblance to another. If you think you know what roller blinds are, read on. You may be surprised by the array of choices you have today.
In the past, all roller blinds totally blocked out light. To allow some light in the room, you adjusted the height of the blinds. Today, you have more choices, like: Blockout blinds are available in far more colours and styles than in the past. While light filter roller blinds allow filtered light to enter the room. Then sunscreen roller blinds filter out harsh UV radiation and allow greater outdoor visibility than light filter blinds. Lats, bonded roller blinds have fabric bonded to the surface of the blinds.
