One of the most exciting things about building a new house was seeing how much natural light we were going to get with our windows. They are huge, and there are lots of them. In the late afternoon I often find myself realizing that I’ve not turned the lights on since early morning. But when it starts to get dark, and the need for privacy becomes apparent, my mind sees those huge, multiple units in an entirely different context—like, what was I thinking… do you know how much diy window blinds cost?
The majority of blinds, including wooden blinds, aluminium blinds, plaswood blinds (also known as faux wood), roller blinds, shutters and vertical blinds, only require a dry wipe or dust. Your natural basswood blinds can be dusted and wiped down with a lightly damp cloth. Whilst PVC vertical blinds can also just be dry-wiped, their fabric variety can be vacuumed with a brush attachment.
Anyone interested in getting a professional-looking window treatment that has their own style to it should consider making their own blinds and shades. When you make your own window treatments, you can decide the color and the design that will be used, even if it is something offbeat. If you want plaid blinds, then go ahead and make them yourself. Not only will making your own shades and blinds get you the exact look you want, but it will save you money as well.
