Choosing the right treatment for bay windows can be challenging as they vary in shapes or arches. When we discuss blinds, it is important to give you some useful advice how to measure the bay windows. Many people find the complex shape of the windows intimidating and the process of dressing up these windows quite stressful. However, you will see that it is not so difficult to determine the right size.
For an inside mount shade, taking your measurements is easy. First, confirm that your window has enough depth to fit your shade by measuring from back to front. Compare this number with with minimum fully recessed depth for your particular product. This can be found under the Measuring and Install Specs tab on the product page. If you windows depth is equal to or greater than this number, you have enough depth to mount your blinds flush with the window frame.
Measurements are always an important part of the process, but especially for bay windows. Because the windows are at angles with each other, there are a few more measurements to take into account. There are a couple of ways that you can hang blinds in a bay window. An inside mount, a partial inside mount, and an outside mount.
