Simply choosing a blackout window blind means you can either have them open or have them closed. There is nothing in between. However, the day/night cellular shades are the perfect solution. Essentially, you are getting two shades in one. Choose blackout or light filtering or even some of both for the bedroom, depending on your needs.
Select solar blinds let you still see outside when the shade is drawn, but it blocks UV rays and helps keep your bedroom cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Blocking UV rays also helps keep your furniture, carpet, and rugs from fading or having sun damage.
If the temperature is too cold or too warm in your bedroom, it can be difficult to sleep well. With cellular shades, also called honeycomb shades, your rooms internal temperature will stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The cell shades construction helps insulate your windows, ultimately saving you money on energy costs. You can also combine your needs and get a blackout cell shade to get the best of both worlds.
